There are three ways in which one can apply for the Maryland Food Supplement Program (FSP) supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), these are:

In order to be eligible for the program, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a resident of the state of Maryland
- You must be a US citizen or a legal alien
- You must be have a current account balance of under $2001 or $3001 for individuals with disabilities or above 60 years of age
- You must meet the income provisions provided in the income guide, depending on the household size
