Tennessee WAP Application Information

Tennessee Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps low-income individuals and families to reduce their energy bills by implementing energy efficiency measures. The program is only available for income-eligible households.

Weatherization services offered by Tennessee WAP are at no cost for qualified households. The program helps income-eligible households to stay cooler in the summer while warmer in the winter by reducing their energy consumption. With little energy consumption, these households will be able to afford their energy bills despite being low on income. WAP services last for lifetime in most cases.

If you qualify to receive WAP services, your home will be visited by an energy audit team. The team will perform comprehensive testing to determine possible areas of problem. Once a report has been compiled, qualified contractors will render services as recommended in the report. These services will improve energy efficiency of your home by fixing air leaks and installing insulation.
