Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Montana Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants need to meet a set of eligibility requirements. These eligibility requirements are based on the income, area of residence and applicant’s participation in other social service programs.

Montana Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)-Income Eligibility Requirements

Participation in Other Social Service Programs

Applicants to the Montana Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) who are currently participating in other social service programs such as SSI, TANF and LIHEAP, are automatically eligible for the program. This is because these programs share the same eligibility requirements as the Montana Weatherization Assistance Program.

Montana Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)-Residential Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Montana Weatherization Assistance program, applicants must be residents of the state of Montana and US citizens or registered legal aliens.
