WAP Application Instructions


Applying for the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program is a fairly easy process. The first thing you need to do is to contact your nearest West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program Providers. A map of service providers by county can be viewed here. (List of Weatherization Assistance Program Providers), at the local community action agency, you will feel an application form and provide the necessary verification documents.

Upon successful completion of the application process you will start receiving the benefits of the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program.


Eligibility Requirements


In order to qualify for the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants need to meet a set of eligibility requirements. These eligibility requirements are based on the applicant’s total household income, area of residence and participatory status in other social service programs.

Applicants to the west Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program, must have an income that is less than or equal to the specified income maximum. West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)-Residential Eligibility Requirements

Applicants to the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program must be residents of the state of West Virginia and either US national or registered legal aliens.

Participation on Other Social Service Programs

Applicants to the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program currently participating in other social service programs such as TANF, SSI, LIHEAP, and AID for families with children are considered automatically eligible for the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program. This stems from the fact that these programs have similar eligibility requirements to the West Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program.
