The Medicaid program is a comprehensive medical cover for the needy families that cannot afford private insurance.
Medicaid provides aid for different health services. On one hand, the program pays for routine medical checkup while on the other hand it pays for institutional care for disabled. The wide range of benefits mean that needy families receiving Medicaid will not require any other medical insurance.
Some of the benefits provided under the Medicaid program include doctor visits, home heath, lap tests, prescription drugs, hospitalization, mental health services, dental care, vision care, medical supplies and equipment, new born home visits, pregnancy care, family planning and psychotherapy. The program will include other services based on recipient's medical requirements.

Children should be under 19 years of age, residents of New Hampshire, and US citizens or qualified aliens. Household income limits are set at 300% of FPL for children living with their parents or relative caretakers. For disabled children, the condition of living with the family is waived.
Adults will have to meet DFA income eligibility guidelines, both for their income and resources. Only those meeting financial requirements will be enrolled in the program. The age limit for adults is different for different subprograms.
