Texas Benefits
CEAP
Texas Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) funded by Texas Department of Housing and community Affairs (TDHCA) assists with paying energy expenses. The program only assists households with low-income to pay their energy bills and maintain their cooling and heating systems.
Financial Aid
Texas offers financial aid to low-income families, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. The support covers housing, food assistance, employment training, and more.
Food Stamps (SNAP)
Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) helps the residents of Texas feed their families after they pay for child care, utilities and other services and are left with little or no money. The program will provide SNAP benefits to eligible families through a Lone Star Card, which works like a debit card.
Medicaid

SSDI
Texans who meet the specified eligibility criteria are entitled to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. The SSDI program helps those who are unable to work due to a qualifying disability.
TANF
Texas Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) provides necessary cash help for financially troubled families living in Texas. Eligible families will receive monthly cash aid as well as Medicaid benefits. The program provides benefits to needy children as well as their parents, if they are living with them. If children are living with relative caretakers, The TANF program will provide aid to such caretakers as well.

Texas Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) provides free of cost weatherization services to income eligible households in Texas. Weatherization services offered through WAP help low-income households reduce their fuel dependency and make their homes more energy efficient.
